Class time will be divided into three segments. In the first segment, the students will review, in groups, sentences written by each other and attempt to locate errors and to improve the writing quality. The mid-segment will mainly comprise of a lecture on Paragraph Skills. Students will start their weekly assignment during the last segment. In addition, extra materials might be introduced according to the progress of the class--these will range from group exercises to short literary analysis. |

課程目標 |
The aim of the course is to develop the capability of students, who already have a basic grasp of English, to write with better clarity and accuracy. The key to achieving this goal lies in regular practice and self/peer-reassessment. |

課程要求 |
Each week students will be asked to compose a paragraph of 150+ words. Midterm assignment will be a short essay of 300+ words. In the final exam, students will be asked to compose a short essay in class without digital aids. |
